Snozzberries

Kieran never ceases to amaze me. We really don’t actively “teach” him much of anything , but he seems to pick it all up (we have actively taught him signs, but now that he’s talking we don’t focus on new signs like we should).

Tonight he showed me that he could count to 10 all by himself. He can also get most of the way through the alphabet. I’m guessing that he learned to count by playing hide and seek (we count very loudly so he can hear us), and I’m sure he learned the alphabet because we sing it while brushing his teeth.

Of course immediately after he counted to ten, he leaned over and licked the flocked wallpaper in our dining room.

Who ever heard of a snozzberry?

   He LICKED Grandma Dions prize flocked wallpaper…lol she would just flip!!!! We need to figure out how to get rid of that wallpaper and replace it with some nice neutral paint of some sort, don't we???
   I am just amazed at how horribly smart Kieran is…he just constantly surprises me!!!

   Is there such a thing as flavored paint, or flavored wall paper? Something that would actually taste good in case this wall-licking becomes a habit? :-P

   Or maybe something that tastes terrible, Emily, so he can kick this wall-licking habit. Oh wait, they've got flocked wallpaper that's as old as Moses. If that doesn't taste horrible enough to dissuade him from the practice, I don't know what would!

   Di, thanks to that clip, I just realized that the 90's girl band Veruca Salt is named after the snotty little girl in WW&tCF. I have also downloaded Volcano Girl to rock out to here in Spain. Thank you.
