My First Applique Attempts

I found some material that I thought would be perfect for some experimental applique work on onesies – below are my first two attempts. They are both for sale – $7.50* a piece!  Please let me know via comment or email if you would like to purchase one.

*I can do either design on any size onesie/t-shirt, and I can dye a onesie/shirt to the color of your choice. Contact me for prices!

This blue short-sleeved onesie is adorned by a sweet little red airplane applique. The design is stitched on but the edges around the plane are left raw to fray (I’ve already washed it twice to help it along). The onesie is 100% cotton Carter’s in size 3-6 month, but it is a recycled onesie so may have shrunk some from the original size.

This khaki long-sleeved onesie is ready to roll with a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine applique. The design is stitched on but the edges around the applique are left raw to fray (I’ve already washed it twice to help it along). The onesie is a 100% cotton Savannah Baby in size 3 month, but it is a recycled onesie so may have shrunk some from the original size.
