Where Did Sleep Go?

I heard Kieran waking up from his nap yesterday through the monitor. When I walked into the bedroom, he was sitting up in bed, hair wild around his face and eyes puffy from sleep. He looked at me and said in his sweet little toddler voice still rough with slumber, “where did sleep go?” (what he really said was “keep go?”; it took me just a minute to figure out what he said).

It was such a sweet, innocent statement. It was one of those moments that will lift my spirits any time I think of it.

    Tell him that Sleep went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house…all of us dozed during the football/basketball games this afternoon!!!
