Craft Time with Papa
I was back in the bedroom when I heard Kieran’s high-pitched shriek. Heart racing, I came running, expecting blood.
Sharp object, yes; blood, no. Tom and Kieran were in Kieran’s craft bin getting scissors, construction paper, and glue. The shriek was Kieran’s strenuous objection to Tom’s offer of help with said scissors.
I stepped back and watched. For the next hour, Kieran sat patiently in Tom’s lap and helped cut, glue, tape, and press. What a great way to start our Saturday!

The most-uttered phrase of the project: “More glue!”

Aren’t they cute?!
Craft time with papa was a success.

I would say it was definitely a success!!! I don’t know which is cuter…the snowman or the creator!! Oh…it isn’t even close…Kieran is the cutest!!! That hat makes his eyes look SOoooooo blue!!!!
Awwww! If I let Lilly use the scissors, she just cuts strips into the paper willy nilly, so I have to control the scissors with her if she actually wants the craft to happen, lol. That’s funny that last night she did a winter scene for Daddy to take to work with him–I cut out a tree and circles and a scarf and she glued and decorated everything. Unfortunately, he didn’t see it this morning when he got up for work, it had fallen out of the door.
That is a great snowman.
(And both of my kids have strongly objected to help with scissors, too. Ah, toddlers!)
