On A Lighter Note
It’s not quite a wordless Wednesday, but today’s post is on the lighter side.
I’ve been busy writing this month, but I keep farming the finished products out to different sites! Please take a few minutes to check out some of my very recent guest posts:
- Yesterday at sustainablog, read about 10 ideas to reduce your toddler’s ecological footprint. Do you have more ideas? Please leave a comment!
- Last week at API Speaks, a post that stirred up a lot of mixed emotions on tickling kids. Have you ever tickled a child until he was out of breath? Until he wet himself? Yikes! Check out some ideas for gentle and respectful tickling games at Tickle Me Not.
- And today at Be Present Mama, I share ideas for creating a time capsule for your child’s first birthday (or any time really). Tom and I have procrastinated for over a year on ours, but we’re finally (almost) finished!

And for your entertainment, a few Kieranisms. Ah, life with a toddler.
- Kieran likes to turn the clock radio on and off in our bedroom. He turned the radio on a few days ago and said, “Hey! The sound of music!”
- Last week Kieran woke up from a nap and told me “I want save you.” I said, “save me from what?” He replied with a grin “I want put you in freezer and save you for later!”
- We recently went to a Royals game. You were content to sit and watch for the first 7 innings, but then you climbed out of your seat to play on the stairs next to us for awhile. After several minutes you started climbing up and down the stairs next to my seat yelling (loudly) “Hey everybody – I POOPY! I Pooooooooooopy everybody!! HEY! I poop!” Honestly, I didn’t check you for a couple of minutes because I thought you were “be’tendin’” (pretending), but sure enough – you were telling the truth.
