Family Pictures
I wanted to share the latest family pictures we took in August.1 We don’t do this very often, but I wish we did. We didn’t hire anyone – Tom just put our Nikon D60 on the tripod, and we wait for the flash. These were all taken around the Plaza area of Kansas City. (Click on the pictures to see larger versions.)
How often do you take family pictures? Do you go to a studio, hire someone, or take them yourselves?
This is my favorite of the 3 of us. It’s in front of the J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain.

Tom took this one at the very end of the photo shoot. Kieran and I were both tired of pictures,
I love the way Kieran is peeking out while resting his head on me.

We tried to take a picture of us walking, this was the best one.
I guess having an actual photographer makes some shots easier!

Carnival of Weaning
That first photo is gorgeous. We NEVER get around to taking photos of the three of us. The last time we tried was for Immy’s birthday back in February and I looked so awful that they will never, ever see the light of day!
You have a beautiful family! We really need a new family picture taken. We took some when my youngest was about two months old but he will be a year next week! Its crazy it has taken so long to get us all in one place. I love the grumpy face too. You two are making the same face!
I hope that a print of that first one is on the list of things to give Grandma and Grandpa!!!! It is gorgeous!!!

I think those are some great shots. We normally take our own pictures but we recently had some taken in studio and they managed to get some better shots of all four of us. I guess there is a point to having a professional take pictures once in a while…we’re just too cheap to do it often.

Those are wonderful pictures! I’m impressed you took them yourselves. We just had a whole-family photo shoot while we were visiting my parents, and I’m so glad, because I never seem to set up such things on my own!
