Wordless Wednesday: Stepping Stones
It’s not obvious from this picture, but I was nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs as we walked across these stones. I kept imagining either Kieran or I would slip, or a dragonfly or bee would fly in front of one of us and startle us into the water, or something.
That nervousness was nothing, however, when compared to later – Kieran was walking across the stones with his grandpa, and he was jumping from stone to stone. Oy. My often hesitant son is growing up and getting bolder!
By the way – I was 28.5 weeks pregnant in this picture, the belly has really grown in the past 3 weeks!

I mostly just clicked over to see your belly, and it’s darn cute! The daredevilry is pretty impressive, too, however ;)
Whoa! It took me a moment to realize you were over water. I am chuckling to myself, because I would have fallen into that pond in a second. (As would Baby T). Good job keeping your balance, even with your growing belly throwing off your center of gravity!
What a beautiful picture! And you look so pretty!
Awww, look at you! You really ARE pregnant! I hadn’t thought about having not seen any “bigger” pregnant pics of you yet.
Those stones look like fun! I’m glad everyone made it through dry. :-)
Nice shot. You look like the picture of confidence! I did get a laugh out of the cat with the rocking chairs comment though. Never heard that one before.
Happy WW!
I feel the same way when I take my kids on the pier at the beach…I imagine us loosing balance and falling into the ocean, or a big gust of wind taking us away, or a fisherman hooking us with rod! So funny how our imagination takes us away.
I feel for you! Reminds me of one trip we made years ago, when Vidur was about 5 years old. We visited a temple at the top of a steep hill. The only way up was very uneven steps cut on the side of the hill, or being carried up in a hammock like contraption by two guys. We opted to climb up. There were four of us – my Mom, my father in law, Vidur and I. Each time Vidur would scoot up a few steps and rush right back down to the point where we were struggling to maintain our foothold, my heart would leap to my mouth. But eventually, after an hour’s climb of over 1500 steps, we made it to the top. Nerve wracking, it was.
I loved that photo of Kieran over at NPN. That’s exactly how I am going to visualize Superman from now on!
You’re looking great here. Take care. :-)
That is a great picture!!! I would have been beside myself with anxiety, but I’m sure my daughter would have loved it too.
It seems like just a couple weeks ago that you announced this pregnancy!
Oh, you are so cute! It’s getting closer…
I would have been sooo nervous, too. And probably wet. We were walking on a dock without railings the other day, and I had to bite my tongue not to yell, “Watch out! Be careful! Don’t fall!” every two seconds as Mikko raced back and forth across. Ah, but we made it out alive.
Thanks all! Yes I am TOTALLY pregnant – that picture was taken 3 wks ago, so my belly has grown exponentially ;) More pictures to come I’m sure. It DOES seem like I announced my pregnancy yesterday – time has flown so fast!
And I’m glad I’m not the only one with nervous tendencies! Vidya – that climb sounds terrifying!
Oh, look at you, lovely mama!
