How many times have you heard “it looks like you’re carrying a watermelon in there!“? Yeah. Now you can prove everyone right.

Whoever painted the Rawlings basketball on this mama’s belly is pretty awesome.

Kieran would flip if we painted a bat signal on my belly.

Now if only we could figure out a way to make it light up . . .

This Humpty Dumpty belly is one of the most clever ideas I’ve seen! If you had several other children, you could do a family costume with “all the king’s horses and all the king’s men.”

You will not see me out in late October in a bikini, but if you live in a warmer climate (and had an appropriate costume party to attend), this costume could be great fun.

Another basketball belly – this one complete with hoop and backboard!

It’s Frosty the Snowbelly! Just make sure no one tries to thumpity-thump-thump on it.

Obviously Photoshopped to glow, but still a cute jack-o-lantern pregnant belly!

If you could find the right color clothes, this could be a very simple costume to make – a Sumo wrestler, courtesy of your pregnant tummy.

I’m not sure what you call this costume, but I’ve seen it on men with pot bellies, and methinks it looks much better with the pregnant belly.

These are pretty cute. They’re making it hard to continue my resolve not to plan a costume this year because I am determined to have the baby before Halloween (I’m due the 29th). I also kinda figure that if I am “late” I’m not going to be in any mood to dress up anyway.

Ah, but will I actually have a big belly by 10/31? It would really help with the whole I-can’t-believe-I’m-pregnant thing!

Very curious to see what you decide to do with your belly!

  3. Here is the lazy / easy costume I’d like to wear this year:
    Skeleton Xray Maternity Top Halloween.

No clue yet what Sasha will be this year.

Are you SURE the glowing jack-o-lantern is PS’d? My ex was an awesome artist and I bet a really good artist could make it LOOK like its glowing, just with paint.

I’m really stumped on the Batman (but totally think you should do with Kieran!), but maybe he could just shine his own flashlight on your belly? lol

      Well I’m not *positive* it’s PS’d, but I assumed ;)
I suppose I need to ask Kieran what he wants to be for Halloween, but I’d definitely be open to the Batman theme. And the flashlight idea is fun!

What a perfect post for you this year. I love seeing all the bellies! I like the monster belly best. The painted one. Hard to pick.

  5. Alison @ Bluebirdmama   bluebirdmama

I always thought someone should dress up as a snake – who just ate. :)

My favourite is the watermelon and also Juno.

  6. Wow, I am not sure if I would ever do that myself, but some are pretty creative! Now I am curious to see your Halloween post. ;)

  7. Lori Ann   simplyla

Thing #3 is too cute! I love these ideas!

  8. The year I was pg with my fourth, my older two boys went as matching dinosaurs. I had a shirt with a pregnant dino on it that said “preggasaurus.” It wasn’t really a costume but we got lots of complements- and severaly young boys who told me, very seriously, that dinos DO NOT have babies in their tummies like mommies because dinos lay eggs! Lol! :)

This year, I will be the Laundry Fairy. :)
