Tales of a Visit with a Kitchen Witch, a Peaceful Soul, and a Mama Named Jorje
In early May my family traveled about 3.5 hours to visit three of my favorite mamas. I’ve gotten to know these women – Amy of Presence Parenting, Jorje of Momma Jorje, and Joni Rae of Tales of a Kitchen Witch – through our work together at Natural Parents Network.
We had a blast! We got together on Saturday for a picnic and playtime at a local park.
Ailia and Spencer (Jorje’s son who is one month younger than Ailia) were particularly happy about park time.
Joni Rae did some beautiful henna on Amy’s gorgeous pregnant belly.
Amy’s husband, Michael, graciously manned the grill and cooked us some delicious food. I wish I had taken some pictures of all of the kids playing, but I was too enamored by babies. Here’s another gratuitous cute baby picture for you:
On Sunday, Tom and Kieran dropped me off to spend time with the girls while they went to a baseball game. I ate entirely too much chocolate dip (nom nom!), enjoyed chatting with friends, and Ailia loved being snuggled by Jorje and Joni Rae. She also impressed everyone with her screeching skills.
We also got pictures of both Jorje and Joni Rae nursing, which I will let them share.
It feels so good to have amazing friends that I can connect with online and in person.

Carnival of Weaning
It was so fun! Great to see everyone again! I’m already anxious for our next visit.
