Yes. Every time. And I was blessedly able to nurse to 26 months. She’s my sweet baby angel sent straight from heaven…. that’s what I whispered. Still whisper (she’s 27 months) and will whisper her entire life.
When it’s bedtime and he’s nursing in the dark, I tell my son some variant of “I love you very much and I will always love you no matter what. You are home, you are safe, I am here with you, you can rest now.”
