From our reviewer, Dionna at Code Name: Mama:

About A Mother’s Boutique

A Mother’s Boutique is independently owned by Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania mama, Judy P. Masucci, Ph.D. Unhappy working full time as a scientist after the birth of her son in 2005 and longing for nursing clothes that she felt comfortable in, Judy created A Mother’s Boutique out of her passion to help other women breastfeed.

Judy’s heart for breastfeeding mamas is shown in the beautiful, full-color pamphlets that she sends with each order. For example, I received an informative article on Working and Breastfeeding: Tips for Success. Judy also has a nursing t-shirt with the Best for Babes logo on it. 25% of the sales of those t-shirt is donated to Best for Babes. You can read more from Judy at A Mother’s Boutique blog, where she often answers breastfeeding questions from readers.

Judy has hand-picked each item she sells through A Mother’s Boutique to fulfill several goals:

1. She wants A Mother’s Boutique to be your one stop resource for everything you need relating to breastfeeding. You can find nursing tops, bathing suits, bras, breast pumps, and more. And if you don’t see something you need, contact Judy!

All of A Mother’s Boutique maternity clothes, and many of the nursing clothes, are designed to be worn during pregnancy and throughout the breastfeeding relationship. Here is one of my favorite tops Judy sells – the Diana Rouche Top in Bamboo, shown here in pewter and also available in dark red. Regularly $79, right now it is on sale for $43. This beautiful summer tunic is super soft and made from eco-friendly bamboo fabric.

2. Each item Judy selects to sell is high quality, truly functional, and designed to help mamas no matter where you are in life. Judy has been a WAHM, a WOHM, and a SAHM, and she knows that different mothers need different features. You will find something at A Mother’s Boutique to suit your lifestyle.

As a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, one of the tops I would wear most as a WAHM is the short sleeve Organic Essential Tee. It comes in a variety of colors, and you can get one for $32 or two for $61.

3. All women are beautiful, and Judy wants you to feel beautiful and stylish in the clothing she sells. With a variety of colors, patterns, and styles, you are sure to find something you feel fabulous wearing.

I love Judy’s selection of plus size clothing. Not only does she have fun, flirty tops, dresses, and more for the outside, but she also has functional clothing for underneath. Check out the Supreme Nursing Bra, which was created specifically for the needs of the fuller-breasted woman. “This structured bra gives you incredible support and beautiful shape, all without underwire.” Regularly $50, it is on sale now for $39.

And for women who have never been properly fitted for a bra, check out Judy’s Virtual Bra Fittings. “It is amazing how many moms are buying bras online and how many of them don’t know what size they really should be,” Judy says.

Even if you don’t win the beautiful Tanya dress in this giveaway, hop over to A Mother’s Boutique and take a look at the shop. Scroll down to the “Buy It” section for an exclusive coupon code for Code Name: Mama and Natural Parents Network readers!

The Tanya dress is a soft, flowing dress made from eco-friendly lyocell. It has an incredibly soft modal insert that you can use two ways – as minimal support when not breastfeeding, and when you are nursing, you can pull it up and over your exposed breast to help minimize skin exposure.

Women with small breasts can opt to wear the Tanya dress with no bra underneath. Women who prefer more support can easily wear a nursing bra underneath the dress and unhook it to breastfeed.

I love the ease with which I could nurse Ailia – just pull the top of the dress down, scoot the insert up, and nurse. The design of the dress would have made it flattering at any stage of pregnancy, and it still looks good on my post-natal body. My one complaint would be the length of the dress. I was unaware when I selected the dress of how long it is. I am about 5’5, and it drags the floor; I will either need to wear heels (something I very, very rarely do) or hem the dress (what I will likely end up doing). I think it would still drag the floor even if I had a 9 month pregnant belly to help lift it up.

But other than the length, this is a beautiful dress that would be ideal for summer or could be paired with a pretty sweater for a spring or fall occasion.

wonderful! I can’t stand those coverups, but still don’t feel like baring all or having “special” blouses, etc.

I would love to buy the Classic Cora Dress from A Mother’s Boutique. My daughter and I have been nursing for 13 months and I don’t have any dresses that are nursing-friendly.

I need a new pair of nursing PJs for the winter. My LO is such a good eater that my current PJ bottoms are falling off me. (I know I should not complain about losing weight.)

I would love to get the navy criss-cross loungewear to snuggle up in for the winter. Thanks.
