Code Name: Mama uses new content. Dionna Ford (and/or the author of each article) retain the copyright to their work, although guest authors grant Code Name: Mama a 90-day exclusivity period. The articles reflect the writers’ opinions and research on varied subjects related to natural parenting. Neither Dionna Ford nor the guest authors are experts but are speaking out of their own experience, beliefs, and research. Dionna Ford/Code Name: Mama cannot be held responsible for every contributor’s personal opinions. Nothing in Code Name: Mama articles should be taken as medical advice or the final word on any topic. Please cross-check with your own intuition, child(ren), co-parent(s), other family members, community, research, experts, books, and healthcare professionals.

If you have a differing opinion about a subject, you can feel free to comment on individual articles, as long as your comments fall within the comment guidelines.

Some of my advertising partners might use cookies and web beacons on my site.

For instance, certain Amazon Associates ads (such as Omakase widgets) serve advertisements based on previous items you have searched for or purchased on Amazon.com. All Amazon ads contain an Amazon Privacy Policy link at the bottom for more information.

My advertising partners may include:

Commission Junction

eBay Partner Networ
Amazon Associates

Google (Adsense/Affiliate)

These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send the advertisements and links that appear on Code Name: Mama directly to your browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons) may also be used by the third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see.

Code Name: Mama has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt out of certain practices. Code Name: Mama’s privacy policy does not apply to, and I cannot control the activities of, other such advertisers or web sites.

If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers’ respective websites.

I accept advertising from the partners listed under Cookies above, as well as from individual purchasers.

Most of the above listed advertisers are referral affiliates. That means that for every product a visitor purchases through a link, a small percentage of revenue goes back to Code Name: Mama to help support the site. Some links are text links within posts, and some are image links (banner ads) to the advertiser’s site.

I have selected or vetted the banner ads and affiliate links you see. If you have a concern about any of the ads I’ve chosen, please contact us. If you have a concern with a product you’ve purchased through one of the affiliates, please contact the company directly, since I have no control over customer service. I try to select only companies and products that align with Code Name: Mama’s values and interests as natural parents, but I have not tried out all the companies and their products and are not implying specific endorsements unless explicitly stated.

For links to products within our blog posts, even if they are affiliate links, please refer to the content of the post as to whether I endorse a product or are using it only as an example.

Any Amazon links are almost certainly affiliate links. Other links are usually easily identifiable as either affiliate links or not, due to the presence of extra and random-seeming characters.

No one directly pays me to review or endorse products. Sometimes I receive free products to review or as a prize, but I will give my honest opinion on such products. I will note in individual posts whether I have received the product for free. I tend to write positive reviews, because I seek out companies and products I feel confident about. I also seek out affiliate relationships with those companies whose products I love, but I will be aboveboard with any affiliations.

Contact me with questions about any of my claims about a product or service. Any other product claim, statistic, quote or representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

By providing links to stores and products, I am not in any way seeking to pressure our readers to buy a certain product, or to buy through my links. I appreciate any income that helps me support the running of this site, but I am seeking readers and participants most of all.

At Code Name: Mama, the privacy of my visitors is of extreme importance. If I collect personally identifiable information from my visitors, such as on the commenting form, it is with an express and limited purpose in mind, and such purpose will be stated clearly before information is requested. Giving me such information is always voluntary and will be used only for the stated purpose(s).

Code Name: Mama uses tracking services that provide me with general site analytics based on aggregate information, such as geographical location, type of browser, IP addresses, Internet Service Providers, date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, time spent on specific pages, and search terms. Such information is not personally identifiable and is used only for internal purposes to improve the site’s performance.

Certain widgets on Code Name: Mama may collect information on page views and click-throughs to display relevant or popular posts to all readers. This information is not personally identifiable.

When you leave a comment, you must leave an email address and name, and your IP address is recorded. Your email address and IP address will never be shown publicly without your permission, and you may choose a pseudonymous or anonymous name for yourself. Again, here is my comment policy to read.

In polls, giveaways, and other forms of public contribution, any information you submit will be used for those purposes only. I will keep any identifiable contact information secure, according to your wishes.

If at any time you want a comment or piece of identifiable information removed, please contact me.

I do not sell or share any of your contact information with other companies. If you click through an affiliate or advertising link and offer your contact information to another company, you are bound by that site’s privacy policy, and Code Name: Mama has no control over what happens on the other site(s).

I do not use your contact information for any type of unsolicited marketing or SPAM. If I offer a service such as a newsletter, you may opt out at any time.

Subscribing to RSS feeds or connecting with us on my Facebook page or on Twitter are under your control entirely. My information on RSS subscribers is only in aggregate. Generally, some information from Facebook and Twitter profiles is publicly accessible, but you can choose how much to share under your settings on those sites.
